Rubber chicken events
This is a groovy new column which will include events which are slightly out of the ordinary. It will consist of not only ideas which are planned for the term, but also ideas which are in the pipe line and may need some minor, or major!, modification. If you have any wonderful ideas which you believe are slightly strange but achievable, then email me at borsbr@kea.lincoln.ac.nz. Furthermore, if there are any sudden events decided upon during the term we will post any Rubber Chicken Events on the notice board.
So here we go folks .
The first rubber chicken event is a moonlight traverse of the Craigieburn Range. This will involve driving up to one of the ski fields, and climbing up to the top of the ridge which we then traverse for a couple of hours to absorb the great scenery, including the full moon. We then head back down to the ski field. The only requirements of this trip is that you have done a basic snowcraft course, as there should be snow up there, and a torch. Naturally this trip will be dependant on the weather, and the moon, so no specific date has been set but it will be during this term.
The second event is but a mere idea but it involves climbing one of the foot hills, but with a theme say animals, or Austin Powers (Oh Behave!), and dressing up accordingly. However, it could be more fun doing it on one of the major tracks, like the Able Tasman!!
Lets make it a memorable term folks.
