[CUTC] [cutc weekly email] Tomorrow Night: Don Bogie on Avalanches! TROG Prizegiving!

Good evening gang,

Look who's back! It's Mr. Tuesday Email, It's been a long time. Have you
missed me? I've missed you.

Welcome to semester 2! If you were lucky enough to get a break (I know I
couldn't catch one, bloody hell) I hope you made the most of the generally
good weather and went wild. Hopefully you all managed to pass those pesky
exams too, despite study break being a very convenient tramping opportunity.

For our first meeting tomorrow night we've got none other than Don Bogie
himself coming in to discuss avalanche safety with us. If you're planning on
tramping at all this winter (even in valleys and bush!) please, please come
along and listen. Even just a little awareness can save lives and a hell of
a lot of trouble. We love this time of year, because snow can be
ridiculously fun - but it's just as deadly if you're ill prepared.

Don't forget we'll also be announcing the winner of the term 2 TROG prize. A
$250 down sleeping bag isn't bad incentive to write a few words, eh?
Document what you've been doing in the hills and the next prize can be
yours.

And of course there'll be trips to sign up for, presented this week by the
charming Ivor in the absence of the V-man. Come and grab the latest
newsletter too! We look forward to you joining us in the Foundry afterwards
(no really, we're serious about this - we don't bite!)
