Hey there trampers,
Well as I'm sure you're aware there is a crap load of reports and tests
coming up this week that need some attention! Big ups to those of you who
came on the combined OUTC - CUTC trip last weekend, them hot pools rocked!
It was entertaining watching a drunken Dunedinite climb a tree above the hot
pools in the dark too. People taking the extreme route from Mount Cook made
it as well which is always an added bonus!
A few things that became apparent before the trip went away should be
mentioned though. If you are signing up for a trip you have to pay that
Wednesday night - this enables who ever is organizing the trip to know
numbers and get things like vans and sort out cars...
The holidays are coming! Woot! This is an opportunity for longer harder
trips and the essential part of any NZ experience - random road trips! If
you have plans and want Volker to mention them tonight at the last meeting -
just flick an email to Volker <trips at cutc.org.nz> or get up and tell people
tonight.
If you have a Trog book - they really have to get back to the meeting so
they can go on big trips this holidays. If you ever come across one, make
sure to contribute!
Speaking of Trog - we have a sleeping bag from R&R as the prize for best
article for last term/upcoming break!!! Get out amongst it this holidays and
then report back! If you haven't already written anything for last term -
start writing an article for our esteemed publication! Just email it in to
trog at cutc.org.nz by the end of the holidays.
At tonight's meeting we have the trips planning for the holidays. The plan
is then to show an outdoor film for those that can stick around. We will
keep the main meeting pretty short though.
Ok that was way longer than required, see you later for big plans!
