[CUTC] CMC/CUTC Easter Climbing Camp

Well here's the information you have been waiting for!

The course is designed to cater for those of you who have little of no
experience with snow, ice, ropes n rock through to those who have done
some climbing and/or a previous snow craft course. By streaming etc we
hope to achieve a situation where everyone is learning at roughly
their level of competence. We hope to teach such things as ice axe and
crampon use, snow and rock anchors, pitched climbing, avalanche, route
finding, alpine features and terrain, glacier travel and much more.

The course is to run from the 15-18 April, with wed 15th and Saturday
18th being for access into and out from the venue. People are welcome
to stay up longer if they wish. We are looking at the possibility of
moving some food and gear in via means other than carrying on your
backs!

The course will cost $100 which includes a CMC membership and
instruction. CMC hut fees are free for instruction courses. food,
transport gear hire etc are an additional cost (CUTC gear hire free
for instruction courses however).

We will have a pre meet and pay up session this wed (1st April) after
the CUTC club meeting. We can discuss more details regarding logistics
and course content at this time. We will also need to meet on the
evening of Tuesday 14th to fit gear from the CUTC locker etc.
