Social Trips

This is the real stuff - none of that walking rubbish for me. Time to get pissed with your friends, share tall stories and have a good time.

• Bush Ball (Saturday 28th - Sunday 29th May 2011):

  Its’ a ball CUTC style: -Still the normal suits and gowns but this year it will be held in a huge Cave on the West coast:
  Ballroom Overhang - The ballroom overhang is a 100m long dry rock overhanging some 30m yahoo sounds great for a party right?
  The track in starts 12km north of Punakiki and Pan Cake rocks. Should take 2 hours walking in- 5km.
  There will be lights fire dancing, a keg of beer, punch and lots of ‘party’. Sleeping would be in tents or just on the ground in the cave - depending on sand flies...
  There are a few river crossings including a several fords of the Fox River-there will be a back up venue in case of extreme rain warnings.
  We will be meeting early on the Saturday at the ucsa car park, and getting back on Sunday evening.

• Pub Crawl (Friday 5th August 2011):

  This event is fairly self-explanatory. However no doubt the social officers will come up with some special variations to ensure it lives up to its reputation as an extremely drunken and disorderly occasion.
